I have a 3x1 metre balcony so I bought the smallest size of grass available (4m x 2m) and split the cost with my neighbour. It looks fantastic! Wish I had done it years ago.

The first day of the project. Groundwork preparation is required before laying the new turf. We also had to dig up our old concrete patio.

The main layout is established and borders are in place. Notice how the soil has been levelled and compacted.

The new artificial grass lawn is now fitted. Decorative stones surround the lawn for extra effect.

My 2 year old playing on the grass. We can now let our children play out without getting muddy feet and muddy knees! A great no maintenance garden.

My lawn was in a poor state and drainage was a problem. The grass had been re-turfed in 2006 but was still hard to maintain to a good standard.

I didnt mind mowing the grass but it looked poor all year round. Paying for lawn care treatments can be costly with little improvement.

I saw an article in a home garden magazine for artificial grass. After requesting samples I found As Good As Grass on the internet and was very impressed with their lawns product range. I decided to have my new artificial lawn fitted with the Sol grass.

Job Done! We are really pleased with the artificial grass and our neighbours have been admiring our new lawn. To avoid giving the secret away I still use the garden vac as it wouldnt look good going over the grass with a hoover!
